SUPERB, RECCOMENDABLE

Extremely disappointing. We had booked a three night stay, looking forward to a relaxing time, exploring the surrounding area. We arrived lunchtime Saturday, only to be told the restaurant would not be open that evening or Sunday evening. Suggested we drive a few kilometres to the coast! We found a place in the village for an evening meal, hoping to get a taxi there and back - told there were no taxis to be had. And to add to our displeasure, the bar, sitting area and reception were locked from 5pm meaning there was no access to any kind of beverage. Really not good enough. We asked to see Monday's evening menu - what on earth happened to the menu you advertise on line? Needless to say we left next morning.

Overall we were disappointed . On booking we informed you we are cyclists so we would need safe storage for our bikes, which was Complied with.i booked your hotel because of the restaurant and was extremely disappointed as 24 hours before was informed that the restaurant would be closed for the weekend. However, on our arrival found there was a private party being held in the restaurant. We were told there was no food available or staff on site overnight. Eloise did book a table in a restaurant for us as it was my birthday but it was 2k walk. As the external gates were left open and unlocked we felt vulnerable.

Very down to earth place which is exactly how I like it.
